  3. MY husband and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch today in OUR LOCAL pub today, AVON INN. We where made to feel very welcome. We where both sad to hear that not many of us in the village support the pub!! They do excellent food, cream teas etc etc. They are making great efforts at the pub. I'm sure if you request something they would happily oblige

  4. Hopefully the new parish council elections will provide the people of Avonwick and North Huish the chance to have fresh faces within the committee.

  5. Well done, everything that promotes Avonwick is essential (especially during the road closure as it appears that some people think that Avonwick is inaccessible)and you are doing a good job.

  8. Dear Helen
Thank you for your suggestion re advertisements for local jobs. Yes we hope that local part-time and full time positions will be advertised on this website by businesses and residents; free of charge. They will be in the classified ads section with a brief mention in 'notices' on the home page. The website is only 8 days old so the next phase is promotion of the website.. it takes a little time to get established. kind regards Lisette

  11. Can I suggest some mention of the book on the history of Avonwick and North Huish by Christine Scott and perhaps where it can be bought? Im sure she would be happy to allow bits for a section on this Web site.
