Double Crust Apple Pie (over 13 years old)

A double-crust pie with a pastry base, apple filling and pastry lid. Please write your name on the underside of the dish.

Longest Apple Peel (under 13 years old)

The apple peel must be intact when brought to the marquee.

C

Picture the Parish

A painting or photograph of part of the parish of North Huish.
A4 size, unmounted.
50p £3.00

Jar of sweet preserve

Any home-made sweet jam, jelly or curd. Jar must be sealed and labelled with the recipe name.

Jar of savoury preserve

Any home-made chutney, pickle or relish. Jar must be sealed and labelled with the recipe name.

Competition Rules 

  • All entries must be home made, with no shop-bought fillings, pastry or preserves.
  • Exhibitors will need to pay the event entrance fee.
  • The decision of the Judges is final.

How to enter

  • Complete an entry form (in the official programme) and deliver it to the Village Shop in Avonwick by 6pm on Friday 16th September 2016. Please place the form in a sealed envelope with your entry fee and mark the envelope “Apple Pie Fair – Competition”.
  • Bring your entry to the marquee between 10.00am and 11.00am in a sealed bag, wrap or container.
  • Each entry must be entered with a card (about 10 x 15 cm/4” x 6”) with - on one side only - your name, contact details, the name of the recipe and ingredients, including the apple variety where used.

All entry forms for the Art and Cookery competitions need to be given to the shop in Avonwick by 6pm on Friday 16th September 2016
