The waters of the River Avon through the parish are all private fishing waters. Trout, sea trout and salmon may be found in the river depending on the time of year.
Access to much of the river through the parish (except the private riverbanks from Avonwick Station to Penson) is controlled by the Avon Fishing Association, who issue permits for visitors and consider applications for membership.
There is a small coarse fishing lake at Little Allers just outside Avonwick, on the road to Sign of the Owl Cross. The lake contains carp, bream, tench, roach, and rudd.
Charges: £5 per day adults, £3 under 16, £3 evening ticket after 5pm. Payments at hut in car park (exact money).
